    Q & A with Regional Support Manager, Jennifer Jones

    Jennifer Jones joined the OpenWorks team in 2009 as the Front Desk Coordinator and has since moved up to Regional Support Manager. Here she tells us a little more about her experience at OpenWorks, and what it’s like to work here 8 years on!

    Q: What is your position at OpenWorks and how long have you been with the company? 

    A: Currently, Regional Support Manager.  I started in March 2009 as the Front Desk Coordinator and quickly moved to an administrative position for our Arizona region once we started our Amazon contract, and continued to work my way up from there.

    Q: What are your job responsibilities, or what does a typical day look like for you at your job? 

    A: I manage the Admin team for OpenWorks.  A typical day is spent assisting my team with billing, franchise questions, support for our Regional Directors – a wide variety of things.  I also am part of the Strategic Accounts Team, where I assist in putting together Strategic proposals for RFP’s. In addition, I am part of the Activities Committee.  I help plan company events both nationally and locally.  I head up the Susan G. Komen breast cancer fundraising each year and am the team captain for the walk.

    Q: What led you to working for OpenWorks?

    A: I had a couple of friends and previous co-workers that joined OpenWorks, and they referred me.  I have been promoted a couple of times throughout my tenure.  To be honest, I’ve seen many Regional Directors come and go over the years, and I’ve learned to do a lot of things that they are responsible for.  Because of that, I’ve been able to grow my position to what it is today.

    Q: What do you love about your job? 

    A: I enjoy helping people.  I may not have all of the answers but I’ll figure it out in order to help someone and that makes me feel good.

    Q: What do you love about working for OpenWorks? 

    A: I like the people I work with.  We have some very talented people – both internal and within our franchise community.

    Q: What makes OpenWorks the employer of choice?

    A: OpenWorks offers nice employee perks – fitness reimbursement, profit sharing, team building

    Q: Is there anything coming up that you’re excited about in your job or for OpenWorks in general? 

    A: It’s almost time to start working on Komen!  Almost time to start planning the bake sale and getting a team together for the walk.
