Q&A with CRM & SharePoint Administrator, Kristofer Scott
Kristofer joined OpenWorks as an intern three years ago, supporting the team over several summers. This past year, his internship was extended into a permanent position, and he joined OpenWorks as the new CRM & SharePoint Administrator. Here, Kristofer talks us through his experience with OpenWorks, and what his typical day looks like.
Q: What is your position at OpenWorks and how long have you been with the company?
A: My position at OpenWorks is CRM/SharePoint Administrator. I have been with the company for the past 9 months but have also been here the past 3-4 summers working as an intern.
Q: What are your job responsibilities, or what does a typical day look like for you at your job?
A: I deal with a lot of internal IT problems and I am starting to become the main point of contact for all our different IT vendors. It is my goal to learn all I can about CRM, SharePoint, Office 365, Zoom, etc. so I can assist with any problems that arise.
Q: What led you to working for OpenWorks? (Also, if you were promoted from within, please elaborate)
A: I was asked to help out one summer as an intern then came back the following 3-4 summers. This past summer I was able to stay longer and became a full-time employee. After showing an interest in technology I was asked if I could assist in the transition into the new CRM and SharePoint systems.
Q: What do you love about your job?
A: I love helping people and finding solutions to challenging problems. I also enjoy working with technology.
Q: What do you love about working for OpenWorks?
A: I love that there always seems to be an opportunity to grow.
Q: What makes OpenWorks the employer of choice?
A: OpenWorks is (pun-intended) a very open place to work. You always know what’s going on with the company and there are friendly faces everywhere.
Q: Is there anything coming up that you’re excited about in your job or for OpenWorks in general?
A: I am excited to hopefully get everyone using both the CRM and SharePoint systems soon and help them become comfortable with everyday use.
